Emanuel Yaakobov, FNP-BC, joined Gastroenterology and Nutrition, P.C. in 2021 and has since become a key provider at the practice. He specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology, with a focus on preventive care and patient-centered treatment.
Before joining the practice, Emanuel built his clinical foundation providing frontline care in the emergency departments of Elmhurst Hospital Center and Forest Hills Hospital (LIJ), as well as serving patients through home care services across Queens and Long Island. Those experiences gave him a depth of clinical expertise and reinforced his commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care across different settings and patient populations.
Since joining Gastroenterology & Nutrition, P.C., Emanuel has worked closely with Dr. Samuel Davidoff and Dr. Yuriy Israel to manage both hospital and outpatient gastroenterology patients. He provides care for a wide range of digestive and liver conditions, with particular expertise in screening colonoscopies, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
Role at the Practice
New Patient Consultations, Emanuel conducts intake consultations for patients presenting with GI symptoms, reviewing medical history, current medications, and symptom patterns. He helps patients understand what to expect from the diagnostic process.
Follow-Up Care, After procedures like colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, or capsule endoscopy, Emanuel reviews findings with patients, explains results, and outlines recommended next steps.
Chronic Condition Management, For patients managing GERD, IBS, IBD, or liver disease, Emanuel provides regular follow-up visits to assess symptom control, review labs, and adjust care plans in coordination with Dr. Davidoff and Dr. Israel.
Medication Management, Emanuel manages prescriptions and medication reviews within his scope of practice, monitors for side effects, and communicates with patients about what to watch for between visits.
