Rafael Yaakobov, FNP-BC joined Gastroenterology and Nutrition, P.C. in 2019. He specialized in General Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He received both his undergraduate and graduate degree in Nursing from Molloy College, graduating with honors both times.
During his career Rafael has worked in various different areas including emergency room at Long Island Jewish hospital, case management at Mt. Sinai St. Lukes Hospital, and homecare nursing for Medicaid. While pursuing his graduate degree he obtained a specialty rotation in gastroenterology which peaked his interest right away. Since then he was able to obtain his board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and started working at a gastroenterology office. He currently has privileges in Forest Hills Hospital along with Dr. Israel and Dr. Davidoff, where he sees and follows patients throughout their hospital course. He also sees patients in the outpatient setting and assists in identifying disease processes and treatments as well as being a big proponent of preventative care. Rafael is compassionate, caring, and always ready to listen and care for all his patients.
